Its a nice day
Seeing as its a nice day i have decided that today will probably be the last day this year when i will be able to have my reptiles outside for sun exposure. So i am making the most of it.

I have been trying to introduce a female leopard gecko to a small group for a little while now, its a complicated process that involves a lot of sitting around and watching. First off you need to make the territory neutral to do this you must remove all the old substrate clean and descent the viv and then introduce all new stuff. I tried this once before when the viv was newly made in to one rather than two vivs when we took the divider out. It didn’t work then as she was fresh away from her long time mate and had not gained weight from egg laying. The older female has lived with two companions in the past a deformed female and then her long time mate. So i cannot see why so would not take to living with the other girls. After the first time failed i put her back in her viv and its been well over 6 months she has gained a lot of weight and hopefully her confidence is up.
I am doing this for her benefit as the viv i want to move her in to is large and will provide a lot more exercise for her than the one she is living in plus i feel it would be better if i could then move something else in to her old considerably large vivarium.
I shall be buy fresh clean sand tonight and the cleaning will start tomorrow.
Wish me luck
Marina:)
